The ergonomic non-slip foam grip provides a 15 degree corrective angle for a comfortable fit in the hand, while a foam extension makes it possible to get a secure lower grip when needed in an uphill situation. The Terra CF's paw-shaped "Ergo" cork knob on the top of the grip fits perfectly in the palm of the hand for increased downhill control. The lightweight carbon fibre midsection adds durability to the Terra CF, and helps absorb a nominal amount of vibration, as the pole does not have a traditional antishock system. Long-lasting short flexi-tips come standard with the pole, and are easy to replace when needed. Like all Black Diamond trekking poles, the Terra CF features a "Zero Slip" FlickLock adjustment system that relies on compression rather than expansion for firm, reliable support. A smart new Binary adjustment system displays a red dot when the lower section is fully extended and locked, and a simple pinch-and-push method is used to collapse the pole back down for storage or transport.
